• Customer conversations — messages exchanged between your customers and the AI assistant, including the questions asked and the responses given.
• Usage data — QR code scans, conversation counts, feature usage, and analytics about how the Service is used.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and similar data collected automatically.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• Process your restaurant content so the AI can answer customer questions.
• Generate analytics and insights for your dashboard.
• Communicate with you about your account, billing, and Service updates.
• Improve the Service and develop new features.
• Detect, prevent, and address security issues, fraud, or abuse.

3. AI Processing and Sub-Processors

To deliver AI features, we share content with trusted third-party AI providers strictly to perform processing on our behalf:

• Voyage AI — used to generate vector embeddings of your restaurant content for search and retrieval.
• Anthropic — used to generate the AI assistant's conversational responses.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the sub-processors and infrastructure providers needed to run the Service; when required by law or to respond to valid legal requests; to protect the rights, safety, and property of Summit AI, our users, or the public; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymize the associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

8. Customer Data and Your Responsibilities

When your customers use the AI assistant, you are responsible for informing them about applicable data practices as required by law. Summit AI processes customer conversation data on your behalf to provide the Service.

9. Cookies and Sign-In

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for restaurants and businesses, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. International Users

The Service is operated from Canada. If you access it from elsewhere, your information may be processed in Canada and in other countries where our providers operate.
